Primary Petals is a floral design and event styling studio located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. It holds a deep committed to vibrant and unusual colors palettes, texture, and lively, hip, original design. The Primary Petals team is not afraid to push the boundaries of it's industry, whether it be a video game event or a taxidermy themed wedding, to name a few.
Born from humble beginnings as freelance designers, married couple Samantha Santana & James Lively have grown their talents from providing simple wedding florals for friends to a full-fledged event decor machine. The work is produced out of the couple's live/work loft, 3 blocks from the Los Angeles Flower Market. Clients of Primary Petals benefit from a seasonal knowledge of flowers and an uncanny ability to provide original floral arrangements, maximizing each event's potential while also making the product more eco-friendly. Likewise, a extensive awareness of abnormal materials make Primary Petals' custom installations (such as paper elements, ceremony structures), large retro and vintage vase collection, artwork, and styling abilities truly a one-of-a-kinda for those seeking to set their events apart from the crowd.
Primary Petals now produces 1-2 events per week, sets trends with its surprising aesthetics, and is regularly featured in a number of major publications (such as Green Wedding Shoes, California Wedding Day, Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake, and Utterly Engaged Magazine).
*Please note that we are unusual for the event and floral industry, so we do not provide typical rentals or flowers. If you are looking for tall centerpieces in cylindrical vases, crystals, super round arrangements, standard roses, hydrangeas, simple color schemes weddings, etc...we are probably not a fit for you. As you will see, none of our portfolio contains this type of work. It's not that this work isn't beautiful...it's just not the Primary Petals approach. OFFICE HOURS: Tuesdays - Thursday, 10am to 6pm BY APPOINTMENT ONLY (excluding holidays). We are CLOSED MONDAYS.
Deposits are required to reserve event dates. Checks and credit cards are accepted, but please note that there is a fee when placing deposits with credit cards.
We provide for wedding and events all over Southern California, with the minimum order starting at $2,500. We apologize for budget restrictions, however we are trying to cut down the number of clients we take on per year. Working on less events will enable the Primary Petals team to provide our clients with the best service possible.
